Hi my name is Faron Mastin and I started Mastin's Deer Scents in 2004.
I have been hunting for 30 years now and my Dad is the one in the picture on the right is the reason for my passion for the sport he always had time to take us hunting ,fishing and camping when we were kids.
Well I have always been a person to use scent and have had good luck using it, but it is not a sure thing, you have to do your home work and make sure your descented. Alot of people think you can put some on the ground and the deer come running. That is far from the truth. The deer have to be down wind from the scent and be looking or checking the air to smell the scent. And they will walk right passed it sometimes if their going to there bedding area or food source. Another thing I believe that a scent drag makes them trail away from you instead of to you. Think about it your drag to your stand and the scents getting weaker not stronger so I use drops on my way to my stand and out about 20 yards from it. I also have a candle system called the Double Scent Stack. It burns a candle inside the canister and you put the liquid scent on top in a 1oz. tin. Then it has a stake system that turns 360 degrees to keep it level. That creates double the scent going to the deer a candle will travel up to 500 yards. It has been tested and proved fire safe if it is kicked over the candle will go out. It gets about 165 degrees. So please check out my web site and give my products a try you won't be sorry.
