Always make sure you use Scent Eliminator
Try to scout the area your going to hunt if possible ahead of time.
Place your tree stand in your tree 2 to 4 weeks ahead of time to let the deer get use to it. A deer knows everything that in his or her
surroundings. Believe it or not watch a deer when it see's something that wasn't there before.
Try to make a ground blind out of natural branches and brush around the area without cutting new ones they can smell the fresh cut wood. Or make one a month or two ahead of hunting season that way you won't have to worry about someone stealing it being made of brush and limbs. And it's great camouflage.
If you use a ladder stand try to break up the ladder part because deer will look right up the ladder to where you sitting. I have had deer come right to the ladder smell the ladder and look up right at me.
When using scents place a trail using an eye dropper to place drops on the way to your hunting area and out about 20 yards in a circle around your tree stand or blind. Deer will backtrack a scent drag because it gets weaker instead of stronger. If you use drops the trail get stronger the closer you get to your stand.
Try these tips and I promise you it will increase your chances of harvesting a deer.
